I am 17 years old and will be starting university in September. I am looking to get a credit card, seeing as I will need one for university and it might be helpful to have one now. I am financially responsible and already have a good credit history from a credit card I had in the past. I am wondering if I should get a student credit card or any ordinary credit card, considering I have a good credit rating. What are the pros cons of either option?I don't think people are understanding what I am asking. I am getting a credit card, I just need to know the merits of a student credit card versus and adult credit card. How to get good credit at 14?
Hey, so my mom got me a VISA card from her work at USAA. It is a debit card but you can also use credit like when your buying something at Walgreen's CVS it says debit or credit when you use your card. So does that mean if I hit credit then pay my bill at the end of the month I have a credit score or does it not officially count until I turn 18?Also yes it is my card, it says my name on it and everything. I am 20, and I have had a credit card since I was 18. I have been keeping a balance of around $100 300 on it and paying $20 $30 when my balance is due, under the impression that this will build credit, rather than just not using that card. Someone told me that what I am doing was actually hurting my credit? Is this true? Should I just pay off the balances and keep the card balance at $0?

I haven't been able to pay on my student loan in over 6 months. I have a horrible credit score because that was the only debt I've ever had, so my single delinquency is all the credit bureau has to go on. I will be able to pay the remainder off in full in a few weeks. How long will it take after doing this for me to have a good credit report?
Loans regarding a vehicle with good credit but not enough credit history...?
I have good credit but not enough has been established as USAA has told me. I'm trying to finance a motorcycle from a friend that no longer wants the payments. I only need about $2500 and I have $1000 to put down.....I dont want to keep having credit unions and banks run my credit only to get the same answer. I'm only 22 I had my own apartment but apparently that wasn't enough. This economy sucks.Anyone know of a company I can goto to get approved for either an auto financing loan or a cash loan? The interest on $2500 doesn't scare me unless it's some God forsaken amount like 20 30 %.

I only need a loan of about 80k. I am a first time buyer, but I don't have a job because I make all my money through ebay. I don't pay my taxes on any of it, so I don't think I can claim it as income to get a loan or will a bank count that as income? . I have about 10k to put down immediately. I just want to stop paying rent and feel like I am contributing to something substantial. My credit is great. I own my new truck under my name and I have no credit card debt at all though I have 3k in student loans . What would your estimation be? So I have no credit history because I'm only 18, turning 19 in one week. What are some good ways to start building my credit history? I live in my parents house and don't pay any bills so any suggestions? I was thinking about getting like renters insurance since I don't live with my parents. Any other ideas?
